Foods & Nutrition

This year in my Foods and Nutrition class, my team and I made a large variety of things. However, the best in my opinion was our mini fruit tart cheesecakes. The full lab went very well and the cheesecakes turned out nearly perfect. Despite having a short amount of time to make them and only letting them sit in the fridge for an hour before serving them, they tasted amazing, had a great consistency, and were overall a success. Something…

Clue Simulator: The Playthough

Clue Simulator: The Playthough

My choice of a final project for Programming 1 was to create a game similar to the Hunger Games Simulator. If you’d like to learn more about the origins of the idea, click here. Instead of being based off of the Hunger Games, my program is based off of the board game, Clue, though the idea of each character being eliminated comes from the novel And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. For those of you who don’t know what the Hunger Game…

3rd Quarter Artifact- Colonization Persuasive Speech

Rilee Brazda Ms. B World History 22 February 2019 Was European Colonization and Imperialism Good or Bad?   In my opinion, European colonization and imperialism was bad. This is because the Europeans practically stole the other countries’ wealth, which led to poverty, it started slavery and they forced labor upon the natives, leading to thousands of deaths, and it destroyed the ancient cultures of the countries. Colonization is defined as the process of establishing control over an area and its…

Assisted Suicide Persuasive Essay- English 2

Assisted Suicide Persuasive Essay- English 2

Rilee Brazda Ms. Snyder English 2 12 October 2018 Assisted Suicide… Is it Moral? Assisted suicide degrades society because it devalues life, shows that lives of the old, terminally ill, and disabled are worthless or a waste of resources, and it pressures patients to think taking their own life is the best and only way out. When it comes to life or death it shouldn’t be an easy choice, yet society makes death seem like the “easy way out”. Debates…

Sargon of Akkad: Mesopotamia And Why It’s The Best Ancient River Valley

This may sound a little bias to some, but I truly believe that my homeland, Mesopotamia, is the finest out of all four river valley civilizations. I’m Sargon of Akkad and I had been the ruler of Mesopotamia from 2334 all the way to 2279 B.C. Not to brag or anything of that sort, but I had also been one of the earliest empire builders. When I was young, I was a typical gardener, though I was often told that…

The Pearl vs The Pursuit of Happyness (Compare and Contrast Essay)

Rilee Mrs.Duitsman English 1 21 December 2017 The Pearl by John Steinbeck and The Pursuit of Happyness, directed by Gabrielle Muccino, clearly portray many similarities and differences within their stories. Not only that Kino, the main character in The Pearl, and Chris, the main character in The Pursuit of Happyness, are both fathers with young sons and are stuck in poverty, but they both had to almost constantly fight to get out of it. As a difference, on the other…
